The Twelve-Year Journey & Beyond

Immanuel Holland (Class of 2021) will graduate from Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School next spring. At DNS, Immanuel was known for his strong work ethic and humble, likable personality. Holland has excelled at Cristo Rey as a varsity basketball and soccer player, school ambassador, and  member of the student government. As for his college plans, he recently received a full scholarship to Brea College in Kentucky.

Charles Cook (Class of 2017) is a senior at North Carolina A&T State University and is majoring in Music (performance) with a concentration in voice. After graduating, he plans to pursue a second degree in Atmospheric Science. Last summer, Cook was the lead counselor for our Jenny Koortbojian Reading Camp. His friendly personality and calm demeanor kept counselors and campers in good spirits. When asked about the experience, Cook stated, “I learned the importance of effective communication when it came to leading the campers and co-workers.”

Anthony Lantigua (Class of 2005) was a member of the first graduating class at DNS. Subsequently, he studied at Cary Academy and earned a bachelor’s degree from Elon University. Lantigua, still lives in Durham and he is a senior quality insurance auditor at Labcorp Drug Development. He and his wife are expecting their second child. Recently, he shared his story at our Wednesday Chapel. Lantigua encouraged all of his younger DNS brothers to strive to be the strong men our families and community need.
