Our Mission
Durham Nativity School provides an excellent education for young men, empowering them to make a difference in the world.
Durham Nativity School is dedicated to providing a nurturing and enriching learning environment along with a comprehensive twelve-year support system tailored for middle school boys. Our aim is to empower students who possess the determination to excel academically, but may lack the means for a high-quality independent school education. By integrating comprehensive academics and growth, we nurture the inherent potential of every child, placing significant emphasis on the value of knowledge, ethical principles, academic competence, self-control, and the cultivation of character. Achieved through the implementation of smaller class sizes, extended school hours, and an enriched academic calendar, our approach is dedicated to instilling a sense of selflessness, shaping the next generation of exemplary individuals, and fostering pioneers within our community.
12 Year Program
As an integral part of this twelve-year process, our Graduate Support program diligently monitors the progress of each Durham Nativity graduate during their high school and college years. In line with this commitment, our Board of Trustees has implemented a high school tuition-assistance program, allowing us to offer essential support to our graduates pursuing education at college-preparatory high schools.
We admit students without consideration of race, color, religion, or ethnicity, with the condition that they come from financially disadvantaged families or are eligible for the National School Lunch Program. Most importantly, the boys and their families must demonstrate dedication to our demanding curriculum and academic standards.
Durham Nativity School is dedicated to nurturing young men who will transcend barriers to emerge as future leaders and role models within the community.
