Built for Boys
Durham Nativity School offers a powerful, transformative education and a twelve-year support system built for boys. We exist to celebrate their academic drive, amplify their innate strengths, and uplift them beyond economic barriers, providing access to a high-quality independent school education. We empower every student to reach their full potential, integrating rigorous academics with comprehensive growth in knowledge, ethics, competence, and character. With smaller classes, extended hours, and an enriched calendar, we cultivate selflessness, shaping exemplary individuals and community pioneers.

Academics
It was the vision of our founder, Dr. Joseph Moylan that Durham Nativity School would provide a learning environment for eligible middle school boys in grades fifth through eighth. Dr. Moylan envisioned a program in Durham to support students in their personal, social, moral, and intellectual development, as well as position them to be successful in college-preparatory high schools and beyond.
Athletics
Durham Nativity School athletics provide a dynamic, lively atmosphere that encourages competitiveness, teamwork, self-control, and a spirit of sportsmanship.
Students
We believe in a holistic approach to education that develops the whole child through encouraging self-reflection, critical thinking, exploration and respect for others.
